Edward Snowden unveils phone app, Haven, to spy on spies

NEW YORK (AP) — The former National Security Agency contractor who uncovered U.S. authorities surveillance applications by disclosing labeled materials in 2013 has a brand new job: app developer.
Edward Snowden in a video message Friday unveiled a brand new phone app he helped create, known as Haven, that goals to shield laptops from bodily tampering.
Snowden says it is an open-source software designed for human rights activists and different individuals in danger and it makes use of an Android phone’s sensors to detect adjustments in a room.
The software program was developed with the Freedom of Press Foundation and the Guardian Project. It has been greeted with combined social media reactions, with some individuals celebrating its safety capabilities and others saying they do not belief Snowden.
