NEW YORK (AP) — President Donald Trump returned to a favorite goal Friday, saying that Amazon.com must be charged extra by the U.S. Postal Service for the packages it sends around the globe.
Amazon has been a constant recipient of Trump’s ire. He has accused the corporate of failing to pay “internet taxes,” although it is by no means been made clear by the White House what the president means by that.
In a tweet Friday, Trump mentioned Amazon must be charged “MUCH MORE” by the publish workplace as a result of it is “losing many billions of dollars a year” whereas it makes “Amazon richer.”
Amazon lives and dies by delivery, and growing charges that it negotiates with the publish workplace, in addition to shippers like UPS and FedEx, might actually do some harm.
